Cumulus Paragliding Team

Cumulus Paragliding is impossible without all our instructors and pilots. We would like to introduce our team to our clients and give some background information on them.
Tony  Tony,
 Owner of Cumulus Paragliding Ltd.

Tony

Tony is very passionate when it comes to introducing others to the sport of paragliding. He is your man with all training related issues and first contact when booking a tandem flight.
With over 18 years of flying the Nelson skies Tony will ensure you safely experience the exilleration and exitement of the wonderful world of free flight.
Deane  Deane,
 Instructor

Deane

Watch out for Deane! If he appears on the training ground it's time for your first high flight. So high we can't see the landing so we need two instructors to bring you down safely.
Deane finished his own paragliding training only a few years ago so he knows very well how you feel in your first high flights.
Lyn  Lyn,
 Tandem pilot and Instructor

Lyn

He has had his PG2 certificate for the longest time in our team. He started training almost two decades ago.
Sebastian  Sebastian,
 Owner of Cumulus Paragliding Ltd.

Sebastian

If you want any gear or a package deal, Sebastian will most likely get in touch with you. He knows about all our stock and the flashest equiment.
When he is not in front of his computer working on your requests, our ads or the website, he enjoys showing pedestrians the world from above on his tandem. Otherwise he flies solo whenever the weather's on.
Julian  Julian,
 Tandem flights

Julian

Always considerate and prepared, that's Julian. He is the region's paragliding club safety officer and just loves being in the air: Julian also has his PPL (Private Pilots Licence) and flies Light Aircraft. Just ask him about flying! He also flies radio controlled aircraft, gliders and helicopters! If you are keen on flying with Julian, contact Julian by email Julian by email
Dianne  Dianne,
All of what you read here

Dianne

Without Dianne this whole page would be either empty or full of misspellings. She creates all the documentation for imported products, texts for this page and removes all of Tony's and Sebastian's mistakes. We certainly wouldn't be able to pay her per mistake.
When she is not out flying or working for us she runs her own company providing technical documentation and training services: http://www.tact-nz.com.

NZHGPA

NZHGPA
"NZHGPA" is the abbreviation for the "New Zealand Hanggliding and Paragliding Association". The NZHGPA regulates Paragliding and Hanggliding operations in New Zealand, including the issuing (and revoking) of licenses, and air safety procedures for solo, tandem and instructor pilots.
Commercial tandem pilots are not only required to pass additional tests to gain a special commercial pilot license but also have to pass a security audit (SOP) for their operations.
